In the Style of Maile Belles

Like many card makers, I have long been in awe of the

creativity, design sense, and stamping skill of Maile Belles, and today,

the lovely leader of her design team at Papertrey Ink, Nichole Heady,

has challenged us to make a card in the style of Maile

as part of the 8th birthday celebration of Papertrey.

Well, part of what always blows me away in what I see in Maile's work

is her edginess-- both in a trend-setting way and in an actual way.

Lots of her cards that catch my eye use the edges of the actual card

or the card panels to amazing visual advantage,

and I love that!
